Human decision-making is complex.

That’s why Save the Children launched CUBIC in 2020.

WHY BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE?

We are all influenced by a myriad of different factors which means we don’t always act and behave in our best interests, despite good intentions. Simply providing good information isn’t always enough to encourage positive behavior change.

Sometimes small behavioral changes and interventions can tackle big problems. Behavioral science can provide a cost-effective way to better understand people’s actions and inform more effective programs, delivering better results for children.

A woman and a young boy are smiling together in a harvest scene surrounded by trees, with a wheelbarrow full of large fruits, possibly melons or squashes.

OUR WORK.

We are focused on applying the behavioral insights approach in Save the Children’s programs across Asia, Africa, Latin America, Middle East, and Europe. We provide training and guidance on behavioral science as well as leading programmatic research and supporting global campaigns and organizational development projects.
